Just a recommendation: you can open the audio app on your iphone "Voice Memos," and record in this during a screen record to get better audio. Single most important thing to have, but I still gave you a thumbs up for the support. Hope you see that as constructive and not me trying to be mean.

Used this comprehensive guide to succesfully replace my screen today, thankyou so much. 6:55 On some of those aftermarket screens there's a protective antistatic purple film that's supposed to be removed I think before reinstalling the metal shield. 11:17 That square black insulation pad on the cable above that top left screw is missing on mine so hopefully the 3 exposed wires below it don't short anything out, crossing fingers.

I hate apple. WHY for gods sake use trilobe screws for the battery compartment. Is it to annoy users? NOBODY uses trilobe screws, and no ordinary household has screwdrivers for it. So you have to get a special tool for it. Why? Why? Why? Why can't you just use ordinary screws, apple, so that ordinary people can replace their batteries themselves.

gotta love when you have to watch an 18 minute video just to get a workaround for apple's stupid decisions

This video is 8 years old, my MacBook Pro 2012 is already 12 years old... Today, by following your detailed instructions, I was able to clean up the old thermal compound from my CPU and GPU (well, the powder that was left, to be more precise) and to apply a new one. My widget shows now a nice temperature of just about 45 Celsius (it was 60 and above before). It feels so good to do these kind of tasks on my own without the need to bring my laptop to someone else! Thank you so much for the time you took to help other people like myself. I wish you all the best!

Hi. I followed the instructions in the video and installed the 2x8 GB Ram cards. When I turn the laptop on, either I get a weird long error message, or after trying several times I get to type my password, log in, but then after a few minutes the machine restarts by itself. Help!!

iPhone 8 Plus I think this battery same with size it can be fit in there.

Must be a lot of different iMacs in those years. My 2010 was a lot different inside than this one. Two of the large ribbon cables could not be disconnected from the screen side. I had to work around the screen to get to the power supply.

I can't reconnect the keyboard flex again. Neither I can't find the mac remove video where's explain this trick. Please post the link. Thanks.

ok I have a question I used too have imac late 2012 motherboard and replaced with late 2013 - 21.5 motherboard would my screen work on 2013 motherboard ?

there are 5 connectors. Two are on the camera strip that was just replaced. Where does that connect?
